One of the intriguing stories leading up to and through the release of UFC 2009 Undisputed was how the fighters were being forced into lifetime contracts. Now comes news that the UFC may be taking things even further by intimidating fighters who are not currently signed by them by making it known that they will never be accepted into the UFC should they sign on for EA Sports’ MMA. BloodyElbow has the info as pulled from forum sources. Just a rumour for now but could see this happening.

I hear that all mma managers were informed that if any of their clients not currently under contract with the UFC….. sign to be a part of the EA game…….the will forever be banned for fighting in the UFC.

Brand Jordan will celebrate Michael Jordan’s induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame with a pack of three Air Jordan sneakers including the Air Jordan I Retro High, the Air Jordan 6 Rings, and the Air Jordan 2009. The pack of three sneakers will not be sold together like some of the other Air Jordan Packs, instead each shoe will be sold by itself. All three will be released on September 5th, 2009, a few days before MJ is inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Arsenal has released some pics of their new 3rd jersey for next season. Designed by Nike, the white shirt features redcurrant stripes and a polo collar. Further shirt details include a panel of horizontal stripes at the back of the shirt. Inside the collar is a high quality woven label that reads Arsenal, while engineered in to the side seam is a small red label featuring two Arsenal canons either side of the club motto, ‘Victoria Concordia Crescit,’ which translates as ‘Victory Through Harmony.’
