A possible solution for the Raptors "intensity problem"

If you watched last night's Raptors-Celtics tilt, you witnessed the main reason why the Celtics are the defending NBA champs: They just play harder than everyone else.

It all begins with Kevin Garnett, who is intense-bordering-on-insane whether it's a pre-season game or Game Seven in the playoffs. He doesn't have a dial that moderates his intensity depending on the situation -- and if he does, it's stuck on "11" at all times.

Because he's an MVP and an NBA champion, K.G. seems to get away with behaviour that would probably get lesser players teched-up. He claps, points, taunts, wags his finger in your face -- anything to intimidate you and throw you off your game. And there's no denying that the Raptors were thrown off their game as they blew a 15-point third quarter lead and were simply "out-intensified" by their opponents. The game had the atmosphere of playoff basketball and the Raptors -- unsurprisingly -- were not up to the challenge.

But don't get discouraged, Raptors fans! Modern sports technology might have the answer for your favourite team's biggest shortcoming -- and it comes in a can. (Apologies if you're one of the babillion people who have already seen this video.)

If this product actually existed, is there any doubt that K.G. would be its main spokesperson?

Glad you are back blogging Scott and hope this gig with the Score works for you. If you have any input on Court Surfing please do something to change the format as its unwatchable. Let's see more Bball and less talk from those morons.

Thanks
