Ron Artest has shocked much of the basketball world, telling CBSsports.com that he will sign a deal with the L.A. Lakers, joining forces with his rival, Kobe Bryant.
According to ESPN, the deal is reported to be around $18 million for three years.
Okay, Lakers are now tough. Let's get that out of the way. ( Let's get that out of the way) is now a trademark quote of The Candyman.
Here's a player in Artest who is sacrificing to be part of the bigger picture and is still able to earn a very respectable paycheck. A solid contributaor in both ends of the game , but is speacially oriented to distract defend and alter the play of the opposing teams best guards and forwards. You got a guy thats going to come in and love the fact that he does not have to force anything offensively. He is a good team player and a new leader for the lakers to bolster and omprove on what Kobe's leadership has done, I truly believe through Artests toughness alone Bryant will become a better leader. Don't forget derek fisher who is tough already and a leader more by example, from what I gather. I like the pick up, I'm a lil Jealous because I'm sure the Raptors can find the money for artest's 6 million somewhere in the mid level exception lol .
thanx guys
