Happy New Year footy fans! Kristian Jack here with you and with the New Year already into its second hour and with hundreds of people outside of my window here in the Score Television Network newsroom getting drunker by the second I have finally finished off the much anticipated list. As far as I am aware not too many of these lists exist anywhere but I feel I am in a position to put this together watching the amount of games that I do and I hope you enjoy it. With it being the season for quizzes...

  • The Tuesday Table

Happy Tuesday footy folks, Kristian Jack back with you for this symbol of footballing excellence and that's the institution, for four weeks now anyway, known as The Tuesday Table. This week there is no key stat as they don't play in the league this weekend and also it saves me time to continue to work on my Top 100 Premiership Players that I will reveal on New Year's Eve. Remember, the number in brackets is their position from last week: 1. Liverpool (1) - Absolute domination against...

Happy Tuesday footy folks, Kristian Jack back with you for this symbol of footballing excellence and that's the institution, for three weeks now anyway, known as The Tuesday Table. Remember, the number in brackets is their position from last week: 1. Liverpool (1) - I said last week that the only reason they are top is the poor play of their rivals but that is not true this week. They were very poor in the first half at Arsenal but I continue to see this team grow up in front of our very own...

  • Hear the best of 08' on The Hardcore Footy Show

This week on The Hardcore Footy Show , we'll take a look back at the year that was. Well, the ten months we were on the air anyway. A lot happened on the pitch in 2008, and we talked about all year long on the show. We'll take a look back to our first show, our favourite interviews, the best moments and of course it wouldn't be a good 'Year in Review Show' without a blooper reel of all the stupid things we said in 08'. There's even a 'best of' segment dedicated...

  • Why I love this game

Today I enjoyed watching the 2nd round replay between Blyth Spartans and Bournemouth. Non-league Blyth, full of players who had been to work earlier in the day, took on the full-time professionals for the chance to meet Premier League side Blackburn Rovers in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. I had a lot of interest in this game as I remember making the trip to the North East to watch a game at Blyth as a young reporter in England some 9 years ago. That day no more than 400 people watched the game but...

Happy Tuesday footy folks, Kristian Jack back with you for this symbol of footballing excellence and that's the institution, for two weeks now anyway, known as The Tuesday Table. This week the number in brackets is their position from last week: 1. Liverpool (1) - I said last week that they have yet to play their best football and are still at the top of the league. Even I didn't expect, though, that this would be extended into another week. The only reason they are top right now is down...

  • Toronto FC target Keon Daniel

This week Mo Johnston's pursuit of new signings for Toronto FC took him to the Caribbean to pursue 21-year-old Trinidadian Keon Daniel. MLS rumors had a blog last week that a number of MLS teams are looking at the midfielder and I can confirm that Toronto FC are one of those teams and Mo Johnston this week travelled to speak to the man himself. Daniel is a regular for the Trinidad and Tobago national team and scored a goal for them as recently as last month in their 3-0 World Cup qualifying game...

  • The Tuesday Table

Happy Tuesday footy folks, If you are like me and you are already overlooking this week's irrelevant Champions League games then this is the blog for you. Each week I will dissect the world's greatest league and provide you with my very own rankings. Sure, the table never lies and this year is the closest season in recent memory and parity reigns supreme - blah, blah, blah. Following yesterday's podcast in which we argued the plight of West Brom I have been inspired to start a new segment...

  • Toronto FC DP: Nuno Gomes?

Toronto FC fans want a designated player now. John Carver wants a designated player now and its looking more and more likely that this is going to happen. I am hearing today that people around Toronto FC have been talking about a possible swoop for Benfica's Nuno Gomes and some staff members have gone as far as to cut out his head and place it on top of a Toronto FC jersey. The 32-year-old Benfica striker would be a perfect fit as the club's first ever DP player. What do you guys think? Let...

  • Trader Mo to go to work

The MLS trade window is about to open. Toronto FC created some headlines this week with the release of their protected list for the expansion draft. Many people questioned why some players were left on that list and you have to wonder how many of those players protected will be on their opening day roster. Check Thursday's podcast for more analysis on that this week. Two players I expect to be playing elsewhere are defenders Julius James and Tyrone Marshall . Lets take James first. James had...

  • The heavy price we pay as fans

I was a fan of sport first and a member of the sports media second and I will always remember that. Far too many people get into this business and forget it. I've always had the opinion that not enough is written in the media about how fans continue to be treated with no respect when it comes to sporting franchises throughout the world. Trust me folks - I've seen every possible way that clubs and tournaments go about handling ticket requests from fans. I've researched systems until I...

  • EPL Baker's Dozen

Happy Tuesday footy folks, Kristian Jack back with you to give you 13 of the many thoughts that popped in my head over the weekend. 1. We know Hull are third and we know they've done incredibly well so far but unless you've watched a bulk of their games you may not know that this team is the hardest working team in the league. Seeing overachievers work incredibly hard and beat talented underachievers is something I enjoy in all aspects of life. 2. When I was a teenager I loved Dwight Yorke...
