    Since Halloween is just around the corner (yes I'm a sucker for the day some call a holiday, others call annoying), a spooky CFL blog seems in order.   • Understanding Hamilton

    What happened to the Montreal Alouettes last week in Hamilton? I've been thinking about this for a few days now and I just can't seem to wrap my head around it. What I recall from last Saturday night's game in Hamilton is that the Tiger-Cats used their tremendous high-powered offence to beat the lowly Alouettes. What? The Tabbies don't have a high-powered offence and the Alouettes aren't lowly, maybe the teams switched jerseys and Montreal was wearing Hamilton colors instead....

    There's no sense in lying, I'll just spit the truth out right now and get it over with: the CFL's East Division is terrible. The Montreal Alouettes are the exception to that and with each passing week they seem to be getting better and better, but other than the Als, it's a crap shoot. Either way, there are two playoff spots to be awarded to the division and with Montreal already locked into one of them, a singular spot is available.
