Hilarious stuff from the Phillies clubhouse after MLB Commissioner Bud Selig suspended game five of the World Series with the game tied 2-2, due to the fact that they were, y'know, attempting to play in a torrential downpour.
The Courier-Post, a Philly-area newspaper, printed the following nuggets this morning from unnamed Phillies players who were maybe a little upset that the sixth inning was even allowed to begin.
“That (expletive deleted) guy,” one pitcher said as he saw commissioner Bud Selig before walking out the back door of the clubhouse. “I wouldn’t let him supervise one of my (bowel movements). He has no clue. Not one (expletive deleted) clue.”
“(Expletive deleted),” one position player said in the direction of one television pausing only for a moment before leaving. “He’s a moron. How stupid can one person be?”
Understandable that they're upset, but this wasn't an easy situation by any means-- that is, after they allowed the game to go on and become "official", instead of calling it off before that, because of the looming storm, like a sensible person might have done... Oh.
