Apparently Jobing.com Arena, home of the Minnesota Wild, like just about every other arena in North America, has one of those insufferable "Kiss Cam" things that they do during breaks in play. And apparently, for once, when they oh-so-cleverly tried to end the gag by zooming in on a couple players, instead of pretending that they weren't on camera, Stephane Veilleux decided he'd give a quick peck to James Sheppard's helmet. And apparently this is news.

"I'm not surprised it was him who did it," said Mikko Koivu. Oh really?

From the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star-Tribune:
"It was just kind of funny," Veilleux said. "It's all for the fans. That's why I did it. We should be entertaining the fans, and I thought it would be fun for them."

Sheppard tried to keep a straight face during what at the time was a tight game, but said, "I was laughing pretty hard."

"I've never been kissed by a dude," Sheppard said. "I couldn't believe he did it.''
