Obligatory Sports Babe
I can agree with the website InGameNow that this Blair O'Neal girl-- who is apparently on a golf reality show and in the Lingerie Football League-- is pretty hot. What we can't agree on, apparently, is how important it is to have a site that isn't a ridiculous pain in the ass to navigate.
From the Life Collection
With Leather has done an amazing job of digging up some serious sports gems from the collection of Life Magazine, which recently had its entire photography collection digitized and hosted on Google. "What about heavyweight champion Lenox Lewis," they write, "with alcoholic-era Kerry Collins with porn star Heather Hunter with a Baldwin brother in a ‘do rag? Did I just blow your mind?" Yes. Yes you did.
Joe Posnanski With a Hint of FJM
Joe Posnanski of the Kansas City Star is one of the best sportswriters going, and in this awesome explanation of why Albert Pujols clearly-- clearly-- deserved to win the NL MVP award, he eats one of his own heroes, Tom Boswell of the Washington Post.
Guy Tattoos His Back To Look Like A Barry Bonds Jersey
... and here, he attempts to explain himself. Or, rather, he attempts to explain his staggeringly questionable judgment...
Congratulations Dustin Pedroia!
Tirico Suave put together a truly fitting tribute to the impressive resume the Red Sox second baseman has put together at such a young age...
The Nuggets Cheerleaders Might Be Awesome
If you're a sports fan with an internet connection, you've probably already seen this, um... rather hypnotic video of a Denver Nuggets cheerleader from the other night. Apparently, this is Bridget, and a quick look at her bio on the Nuggets website shows that she's somehow even more awesome than that video suggests-- unless, of course, the Nuggets are going way over the top to appeal to the indie geek demographic. She likes Steven Hawking and the movie Magnolia, quotes Henry Miller, and secretly wants to be a (cunning?) linguist. Holy shit! Those colourless green ideas can sleep furiously... in my pants!
