Morning Link Dump - "Caz", Hickman, Beards, Lions, Bruce Lee

phelps lady Obligatory Sports Babe

For some reason, it appears that people actually still care about Michael Phelps-- particularly, who he's banging. That is, when he's not uh... clowning around in the pool with Anderson Cooper. Well, this is her-- Caroline "Caz" Pal-- taken from this awkwardly-titled New York Post story, Phelps' Breast Stroke. Ho ho ho.

Remember Fred Hickman?

I'm going to assume that I'm not the only one here who, for some reason, spent a lot of time watching CNN's Sports Tonight during the 90s. If so, you'll probably be familiar with the name Fred Hickman, who, along with Nick Charles ran the show for years before moving on to YES and then being snapped up by ESPN. Well, apparently ESPN made a slight miscalculation on that one . . .

Facial Hair Extravaganza

Easily this most serious thing ever written about growing a beard. And perhaps slightly less serious, it's negativesideburns.com.

Walking Among the Lions

Great post here from the Big Lead about going to the Thanksgiving Lions game in Detroit, and all of the different jerseys in the crowd.

For No Particular Reason. . .

It's been over two years, and I can almost-- almost-- look back and laugh at the Battle Of Nuremburg-- the 16 yellow card, four ejection match played between Portugal and the Netherlands at Germany 2006. Especially when it's boiled down to its most essential elements-- the fighting, diving, and generally disgraceful bullshit that the match devolved into-- and set to a snappy Latin tune. (Loved this comment: It's like watching Arsenal vs Arsenal.)

Bruce Lee Playing Ping Pong With Nunchucks

Pretty self-explanatory and awesome. . . and fake, but who cares?

With Things Going Insane in Ottawa...

... I'd like to call on our political leaders to keep their debates civil. Like these folks...

Worst. Idea. Ever.

Hey, it's bobbing for wieners, and no, it's not remotely sexy. Just dumb. Very, very dumb.
