Morning Link Dump - Minka, Irvin, Feherty, Pittsnogle, RBI Baseball, Star Wars

minka Obligatory Sports Babe

I'll own up to not ever having watched the show Friday Night Lights, but I do know that it's about football, and that according to the preamble to their gallery of 32 girls from the show, COED Magazine-- and they'd know-- says it's "the show to watch for up-and-coming hotties." Minka Kelly here, then, will do just fine. She may also be nailing Derek Jeter, but why would you care about that?

Holes in the Michael Irvin Carjacking Story?

Deadspin has a pretty thorough post on some curious details that may lead one to believe that the Michael Irvin carjacking story from a couple days ago is possibly complete bullshit. For example: "Irvin didn't report the incident until the following day, more than 24 hours after Monday's supposed confrontation. And he reported it by flagging down a police car."

A Funny Golf Analyst? Huh?

It would appear as though CBS golf analyst David Feherty is a little bit seriously funny. And not even "funny for a golf analyst", I mean actually funny. Great interview with him at Yahoo's golf blog, The Devil Ball-- although I do find some of the censoring of his words to be a little bit [kittycat].

NCAA Tournament Hero Stirs Debate About How Bad It Is To Live In A Trailer

The Big Lead points us to an interesting NY Times profile of former West Virginia star Kevin Pittsnogle.

Evidently, since leading the Mountaineers to a tournament upset over Wake Forest, he's gone on to being a middle school teacher living in a trailer-- which, as a number of commenters at TBL point out, really ain't so bad...

RBI Baseball Editor, Funny Enough, Lets You Edit RBI Baseball Rosters

According to Mouthpiece Sports (found via With Leather), there is a page where you can edit RBI Baseball rosters, and then download and play the game with new, better matchups, like "writers vs. religion"-- featuring such star players as F. Scott Fitzgerald, Charles Bukowski, and Jesus.

Star Wars: Retold (by someone who hasn't seen it)

Found via Filmdrunk (which, FYI, features an always-excellent appearance from The Stath this morning).
