Earlier this morning Rafael Nadal and Fernando Verdasco completed a 5 hour 14 minute tennis match that saw Nadal go through to the Australian Open final 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (2), 6-7 (1), 6-4. It was the longest match in the Australian Open's history, and some of the images are maybe just a little bit awesome. Like...
Here's Nadal serving as seen through a [unintelligible] lens. (OK, so I don't know what kind of lens this is through, and maybe don't know a fucking think about photography. But I do know it looks really cool-- like those awesome Keith Loutit videos on Vimeo-- and I think that's what's really important, right?)
OK Fernando, hang in there, only three and a half more hours to go. . .
Murdock... I'm coming to get you! Huh? I mean... Why won't this match END?!??!?
Uh... what... I... uh... where am I? What time is it? Ugh... so sleepy. Always so very sleepy...
Oh shit, I was supposed to be at that ball girl's hotel room hours ago...
BUT I DON'T WANT TO PLAY ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I won! Oh thank you lord Jesus, I won! I am the champion! I am-- wait, I have to play who on Sunday?
All of it... all of it for nothing!... Why?!? Why me?!? Why?!??!?
"No offence, but if I ever see you again I'm going to have to punch you in the face." - "Ditto."
