Fan Attacks The Wrong Ref

From the "Why couldn't this have happened to that London, ON, hockey dad asshole" file, we have a story from the Times of Northwest Indiana. Seems that old Patrick Rempala, 64, went apeshit on a referee at a high school basketball game, who also happened to be a state trooper-- who then arrested him.

Tiger Never Tips

Sports Crackle Pop points us to this story from the New York Post about Tiger Woods.

“Whenever Tiger was in Las Vegas, there was a woman who would hang out with his group, sort of as a local guide,” says our source. “They would have a great time but Tiger never tips. Ever. She had to stop going out with him because it would cost her three or four hundred bucks every time they went out, since she had to keep tipping for him. Even though he paid the bill, people knew her, so [to not leave a gratuity] would reflect badly on her.”

Where Have I Heard About This Sucking Before?

Former Dolphins receiver Oronde Gadsden, who never played in the CFL, has put together a group that will look to bring a CFL team to either Rochester or Detroit, according to the Globe and Mail. Hopefully this will one day lead to all my Shreveport Pirates gear being wearable again, but I'm not holding my breath.
