Instant Classic
I have the sinking feeling that way too many people in this country were busy watching hockey while the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers play a wild, incredible game to settle the American League Central. Wow. (Of course, if the hockey game you watched was Flyers-Capitals, you probably don’t mind so much, and I think you can be forgiven.)

“Cheats are facing the real prospect of sin bins at the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa, according to one of football's most powerful men,” says Sky Sports. “Asked if there was a real chance of sin bins being introduced, Jack Warner, a member of Fifa's 24-man executive committee, said: ‘Most definitely. I'm quite sure.’ He added: ‘For example, a guy fakes an injury, and he acts as if it's the end of the world, and then after you give him the foul he then flies up and kicks the ball. That guy should be sent off, and he should be sent off for five minutes.’ “

You People Really Cared That Much?
I could give two shits about Brett Favre, and didn’t watch a second of the Monday Night game this week, and… apparently I was alone. “Per SportsBusiness Daily, the Packers-Vikings Don't-Call-It-A-Grudge-Match grudge match generated a metered-market rating of 14.2, which likely will make it the highest-rating program in cable television history,” reports Pro Football Talk. Ugh.
Bring On The Yankees
Here’s what it looked like from the stands when Alexei Casilla knocked in the winning run in last night’s epic baseball game.
