Derek Fisher Has One For the Ages

fisher

Great catch by @ScottCarefoot, who noticed the astounding stat line that Derek Fisher put up two nights ago in Houston: 34 minutes, zero points, zero assists, zero rebounds.

How the hell you stand on the court for that long and not manage, even by accident, to do one of those things is beyond me, but Fish managed it—and according to Basketball Reference it’s the first time since their records begin in ‘86-‘87 that a player has been on the court for over 30 minutes and had no points, assists or rebounds to his credit.

Incredible. And as Scott suggests, if Fisher is on your fantasy team “you miiiiight want to consider dropping him.”

That is beyond words. I'm unsure whether I should applaud him for this historic event or to shake my head as his Pylon-like effort

I've often wondered what he has on someone to be able to play in the NBA. He can't score, can't pass, can't defend. The Lakers would be unstoppable if they had a point gaurd. That is the big hole in their armour, they are always playing 4 against 5.
