  • Game 7: Ducks 4 @ Senators 3

    I started writing this post at the beginning of the third period and I had to restart a couple of times. Down 4-0, I was getting ready to to talk about how Anaheim's goals were the type that just came from lazy defensive play in front of our net. You know... the unassisted kind that happen when the guy covering you doesn't drive you to the ice when he has the chance. Then the Ottawa Senators finally woke up and took advantage of some powerplay time, scoring a pair of goals 37 seconds apart...

  • Spezza bumped to second line

    I don't understand what the big deal is about this move, but the press is all over it in Ottawa. Every other time the Pizza line gets broken up, it always seems to be Alfie dropping to the second line to help produce some secondary scoring. This time it's Spezza dropping down... big deal. Nice to see Hartsburg has the cohones to split up Heatley and Spezza. But it's not like Jason will see much less ice time. I'm sure he'll still get all kinds of PP time and it wouldn't be...
